Continental’s digital capabilities are growing every day. Our Tires Manufacturing IT Competence Center drives the digitization of our tire plant’s processes - and we want you to join us!
We analyze business requirements and transform them into the latest digital processes and systems. This enables Continental’s Tire business to continuously improve production performance and quality results in order to meet customer requirements.
We partner with people from our tire plants and other areas within the company to realize new functionalities or test and evaluate new technology. We are a global, highly motivated IT team that has the freedom to act and embraces diverse thought and perspectives.

In this exciting job you work on the following tasks:

• Developing complex software solutions for the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Preparing and contributing to cross team architecture decisions
• Guiding implementation of new technology (prototyping or implementing)
• Ensuring communication with the departments involved (IT, Engineering and Business) in an international environment
• Supporting internal projects and worldwide roll-outs into manufacturing plants
• Ensuring consistent operations of our Manufacturing applications
• Coaching other team members (e.g., software development principles)

Ihr Profil

• Academic degree in Computer Science, another technical field or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in MES and software development (e.g. C#, .NET, Visual Studio or comparable)
• General knowledge level of manufacturing processes
• Capabilities to review and design IT architectures
• First project management skills or experience as technical lead desirably
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Intercultural sensitivity
• Efficient troubleshooting capabilities
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills
• Self-organized and structured working style
• Professional working proficiency in English, German skills of advantage
• Open to travel up to 20%
