As the “Emergency Pharmacy of the World,” action medeor has been committed to improving the health of people worldwide for 60 years. Our vision: no one in this world should die from treatable diseases. To achieve this, we supply medical facilities with essential medical goods and strengthen local healthcare systems through our projects. In the event of humanitarian crises, action medeor can dispatch aid within a very short time - thanks in part to our 4,000-square-metre pharmaceutical warehouse in Tönisvorst. The action medeor family also includes our locations in Tanzania and Malawi, as well as the action medeor Foundation.

This global work is made possible not least thanks to donations from private individuals, companies, and foundations. The more people we inspire to support the work of action medeor, the more help we can provide. This is where our Fundraising and Communications team comes in - and perhaps soon, you too: we are currently looking for reinforcement at the earliest possible date.

Become part of the Emergency Pharmacy of the World and support our donor services. Your weekly working hours at our Tönisvorst location will be between 16 and 20 hours, by agreement. The position is initially limited to two years, with the option of extension.

Your responsibilities:

  • As a contact person, you will support our donors with their inquiries via phone or email and ensure they feel well taken care of.
  • You will be responsible for the regular processing of one-time and recurring donations using various payment methods such as direct debit, credit card, PayPal, and bank transfer.
  • Handling occasion-based donations (e.g. birthday fundraisers) as well as processing allocated fines also falls within your area of responsibility.
  • You will assist in preparing thank-you letters and other correspondence to express our appreciation to donors.
  • You will manage and maintain donation data in our database.
  • General administrative tasks include recording and updating returned mail, filing, and documentation.
  • Through your work in donor services, you will make an important contribution to raising awareness of action medeor’s mission.
Your profile
  • You enjoy administrative tasks and communicating with people, combined with a service-oriented mindset.
  • You have already gained some experience in customer service.
  • You work carefully and with attention to detail - especially when maintaining donation data.
  • Ideally, you have experience working with CRM systems.
  • Very good communication skills in German, both spoken and written, are required; English skills are an advantage.
  • A strong affinity for numbers and confident use of Excel, Word, and Outlook complete your profile. At the same time, you enjoy working independently as well as collaborating within a team.
  • Personal commitment and initiative come naturally to you.
  • You identify with the goals of action medeor e.V.
