Purchasing Manager / Purchasing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, quality, and reliability.
Issue purchase orders and oversee the procurement process from request to delivery.
Ensure availability of materials, products, and services to support operational requirements.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and industry trends.
Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms.
Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Operations, Production, Finance, Logistics, and Quality.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities accordingly.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and procurement standards.
Analyze purchasing data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Manage and resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays and quality concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field (preferred).
Several years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Fluent German and English skills; additional languages like Chinese and/or Polish are an advantage.
Openness and willingness to transition into the company’s Poland-based Purchasing Department in the future are highly desirable.
