Team Lead (f/m/x) Purchasing
As a Team Lead Purchasing (f/m/x), you will take over a key leadership role within our Operations organization, leading a team through an ongoing transformation journey. You combine operational excellence with strong people leadership and act as a driving force for collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across interfaces and processes. Your key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of 10 employees by providing both disciplinary and technical guidance while fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented team culture.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure product availability, reliable deliveries, and optimal terms and conditions.
- Team Coordination: Drive team coordination and resource planning to ensure efficient operations and support ongoing team development.
- Operational Management: Take full ownership of operational purchasing activities, ensuring timely execution and proactive resolution of supply-related issues.
- Backorder Management: Manage backorder situations by closely collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify sustainable solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve KPIs such as availability, on-time deliveries, and adherence to delivery schedules.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a main interface between Purchasing and other departments under Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Management, etc
- Continuous Improvement: Lead projects and process optimization initiatives to continuously improve and further develop our supply chain organization.
You will thrive in this role if you are a hands-on leader with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive change in a dynamic and international environment. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- A degree or significant professional experience in the commercial sector, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a comparable qualification
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead teams through transformation and change
- Strong expertise in operational purchasing processes and supplier management
- Good knowledge of SAP (SAP S/4HANA is a plus) and confidence in using common MS Office applications
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive and resilient mindset
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities
- A collaborative and open-minded personality with strong networking skills
- Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
