Senior Account Manager (Trade & Marketing, DACH) - USA (f/m/d)

Are you a tourism professional with strong travel trade relationships across Germany, Austria and Switzerland? Do you understand the dynamics of long-haul outbound travel and know how to translate partnerships into measurable sales growth?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager (f/m/d) to drive outbound travel from the DACH region to the United States.
Your Mission You will lead the development and implementation of strategic sales and trade marketing initiatives to:
- Increase destination awareness across Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- Strengthen engagement with key travel trade partners
- Build high-value partnerships that deliver measurable ROI
- Achieve agreed sales and marketing objectives for the U.S. market
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop deep market expertise in the DACH outbound travel sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, airlines and industry associations
- Design and execute strategic trade activation plans and co-operative marketing campaigns
- Negotiate partnership agreements aligned to KPIs and performance targets
- Represent the destination at trade fairs, workshops, sales missions and industry events
- Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify long-haul growth opportunities
- Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness and trade performance
- Manage budgets responsibly and efficiently
- Lead and mentor junior team members
- Collaborate with PR, digital and consumer marketing teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery
- Degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business or similar
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tourism, destination marketing or international representation
- Strong knowledge of the DACH outbound travel market
- Established travel trade network in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- Experience promoting the United States is an advantage
- Proven track record managing marketing budgets and partnerships
- Strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
