As a (Senior) IT Project Manager (m/f/d) in our SAP area, you will be part of our strategic project management team at Heraeus IT.
You will manage a broad range of SAP projects, from strategic initiatives to user- and customer-centric solutions that generate business value for Heraeus.
You will take end-to-end responsibility for project execution, including scope, timeline, resource planning, budget oversight, and project governance.
You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including business experts, IT business partners, IT specialists, and external vendors.
You will apply modern project management methods and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our project management practices.
Close business engagement and clear, targeted communication will be essential to ensure alignment with business objectives and effective delivery.
Act as a strategic partner to specialist departments, supporting new applications throughout their lifecycle with a strong focus on value creation.
Ensure a structured handover to the support organization for applications implemented through your projects, enabling stable operations throughout the remaining product lifecycle.

Your Profile

You bring 7+ years of experience in IT & SAP project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
You are a strong people leader with experience managing internal staff and external partners, ensuring clear communication, aligned expectations, and consistent performance across mixed teams.
Experience in developing employees, technologies, and processes is beneficial.
You hold a university degree (or equivalent education) in economics, IT, or a related field.
You are experienced in managing programs/projects in diverse environments and are well-versed in both classic and agile methods.
You have strong cross-team collaboration skills and can balance multiple stakeholder needs and expectations.
You quickly understand and analyze new demands and challenges.
You have international experience and a high level of intercultural awareness.
You possess strong economic and commercial understanding.
You are a business-minded IT professional who understands how IT drives business value.
Fluent in English, spoken and written; German proficiency is a plus.
