Sales Manager (m/f/d)

Your Role
Sales force with responsibility for a defined group of customers, including gaining new customers and solution orientated sales (value added sales / consultant) with regards to product application and technical solutions of customer requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
Customer Management
- Sales of company’s product portfolio with applications within the Personal Care industry
- Profitable growth of customers
- Responsible for decision on price based on cost-price from Product Manager
- Customer visits
- Direct sales
- Customer portfolio management (costs/benefits, potential analysis)
- Reporting
Business Development
- Gaining new customers by region
- Gaining new customers by application
- Collaborate with internal teams to support market entry and new business opportunities
Key Tasks
- Actively sell the company’s product portfolio within the assigned customer base and market segment
- Establish and maintain contact data for prospects and customers in the CRM system
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, including pricing calculations and relevant technical documentation (e.g. datasheets)
- Develop annual plans and strategies for the assigned area in collaboration with the Business Line Manager
- Maintain and expand existing customer relationships through regular visits, calls, and correspondence
- Proactively identify, approach, and acquire new customers in the marketplace
- Coordinate and update customer demand planning in collaboration with the Supply Chain & Customer Service team
- Plan and manage travel arrangements independently for customer visits
- Ensure accurate and consistent maintenance of the CRM system, including contact data, visit reports, and customer classification (A/B/C)
- Monitor and evaluate market trends and competitor activities on a regular basis
- Continuously develop industry-specific knowledge through literature, trade fairs, professional associations, and networking
- Manage pricing, including calculation adjustments and updates to sales conditions

- Commercial education (e.g. business administration, sales, marketing) or a technical / chemical background - a combination is highly desirable
- Personal Care & Home Care market and product knowledge
- Sales experience in the field
