Your Tasks

Propulsion Systems engineer (EP/CP) for the development of a new space projects, possibly also in frame of future in-space transportation concepts
Depending on the background of the applicant, the scope spans from early development up to realization phase for either EP or CP projects, including both classical or new technologies
As part of the satellite team, co-ordination of propulsion requirements and technical interfaces within the satellite platform and with the subcontractor
Align with parallel technology developments
Performing analyses to size and support design of the subsystem
Definition of the verification philosophy on subsystem and component levels and specification of test requirements for platform testing
Technical management of procurement activities for subsystem and equipment from suppliers, with support by the central procurement organization within OHB System
Generation of technical documentation, e.g. specifications, trades, analyses
Planning, coordination and control of design and analysis activities
Support to subsystem MAIT activities and LEOP phase
Support proposal activities

Your Qualifications

Degree in aerospace engineering, physics or comparable qualification
Ideally, some professional experience in space industry in the propulsion domain
Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
Accustomed to work in teams with well-developed communication skills
AIT experience would be of advantage
Experience in Systems Engineering and Requirements Engineering
Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills are advantageous
