Space Systems Engineer (m/f/d)
As part of the Satellite Systems Engineering Department, the System Engineering team aims at providing services to ensure the technical coordination of the project.
Main Responsibilities
Perform analyses of satellite functional and interface requirements
Coordinate spacecraft validation and verification on system level
Ensure compliance to the satellite technical requirements
Work in collaboration with Architects and Subsystem engineers
Technical system budgets (electrical power, propellant, telemetry, command, pointing, mass properties)
Define the satellite configuration and manage the satellite internal and external interfaces (e.g. launcher interfaces)
Flow down of the satellite requirements to subsystem level specifications
Support the generation the AIT plans and operation plans
Supervise preparation of satellite tests and review of test results
Define Test Specifications for System Level Tests and Verification
Responsible for maintenance of spacecraft data bases and simulators
Preparation for launch and flight phases, preparation of launcher interfaces and for operations data
Contribute to the project risk management for risks of technical nature
Qualifications
Degree in engineering, physics or equivalent
Professional experience in satellite projects, preferably in phases B/C/D and in the field of verification/interface
Experience in technical negotiations with the customer
Self-managed and pro-active working style
Ability to work with and implement processes
Ability to work in a team
Working level proficiency in written and spoken English. German and other language skills advantageous.
