Telecom Specialist (f/m/d)

For this bid we are seeking a Telecom Specialist to oversee the implementation of telecommunication networks and automatic fare collection systems for a high-speed rail project. The role involves design verification, tender document preparation, testing and commissioning, and system integration.
Important: The location of the job is in an APAC country; more details will be shared later in the process.

Responsibilities:
- Perform design verification and validation of high-speed rail telecommunications systems (e.g., radio, fiber-optic networks, and train-to-ground communication).
- Lead and support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents related to telecommunications & AFC.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of telecom systems ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Conduct and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for telecom & AFC equipments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards and railway telecom safety protocols.
- Manage a team of engineers involved in telecom & AFC system implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, or Railway Engineering.
- 15+ years of overall experience, with at least 10 years in high-speed rail projects.
- Proven expertise in design verification, tender document preparation, and evaluation.
- Hands-on experience in testing and commissioning, FAT/SAT of railway telecommunications & AFC systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant international telecom and AFC standards.
- Ability to lead teams of design engineers and executing engineers.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English.
