Ihre Position ist als Teil der ESG-Rating-Agentur in der EthiFinance-Gruppe im Team Research & Operations angesiedelt. Das Team ist neben der Erstellung und Lieferung von Second Party Opinions auch für Nachhaltigkeitsratings in beauftragter („solicited“) und unbeauftragter („non-solicited“) Form mit dem Fokus auf kleine und mittelgroße europäische Unternehmen verantwortlich. Dabei betreuen wir Kunden in ganz Europa.

Als Teil des Sektor-Teams erstellen Sie qualitativ hochwertige Non-Solicited ESG Ratings.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Sammlung von Daten aus öffentlicher Berichterstattung des Unternehmens (Jahresberichte, CSR-Berichte, Code of Conducts etc.) und Erfassung in Bewertungstools
• Analyse und Bewertung der gesammelten Informationen
• Kommunikation mit den bewerteten Unternehmen zur Einholung von zusätzlichen Informationen oder Beantwortung von Fragen
• Durchführung von Qualitätskontrollen
• Beitrag und Unterstützung beim Monitoring kontroverser Aktivitäten
• Mitwirkung an Second Party Opinions (SPOs) und ESG-Ratings in Zusammenarbeit mit den Senior Analyst*innen
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sector Research Lead

Ihr Profil

• Abgeschlossenes Studium - beispielhafte Schwerpunkte: Politikwissenschaften, Volks- oder Betriebswirtschaft, Nachhaltigkeit, Finanzwirtschaft etc.
• Sektorspezifisches Wissen in folgenden Bereichen von Vorteil: Immobilien, erneuerbare Energien, Energieversorger, Wasser, Transport & Logistik
• Motivation und Begeisterungsfähigkeit für das Thema Nachhaltigkeit und Sustainable Finance
• Eigenständige, verantwortliche und verbindliche Arbeitsweise gepaart mit effizienter Arbeitsstruktur und Organisationsgeschick
• Rasche Auffassungsgabe, hohe Selbstständigkeit und analytisches Verständnis mit Blick für das Wesentliche
• Teamgeist mit verbindlichem Auftreten und sehr guten Kommunikations- sowie Präsentationsfähigkeiten
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

Your role

The position is part of the ESG Rating Agency of the EthiFinance Group and situated within the Research & Operations Team, which produces solicited and non-solicited ESG Ratings of European companies and supplies Second Party Opinions for green, social and sustainability or sustainability-linked bond/loan issuers. We serve customers across Europe.

As part of a sector analyst team, you will produce forward-looking and high-quality non-solicited ESG Ratings.

Your tasks

• Gather data from companies' public documentation (annual reports, CSR reports, reference documents, codes of conduct, etc.)
• Analysis of the gathered information (conversions, interpretations, comments, etc.)
• Carry out dialogue with evaluated companies (gather additional information, answer questions etc.)
• Record gathered data in evaluation tools, process private information
• Carry out quality checks on collected data
• Contribute to the controversy monitoring and controversial activities monitoring
• Contribute to SPOs and Solicited ESG Ratings in collaboration with senior analysts

Your profile

• Completed degree in Political Sciences, Economics or Business Administration, Sustainability related fields or similar
• Sector specific expertise in real estate, renewable energies, energy suppliers, water supply, transport & logistics is a plus
• Motivation and enthusiasm for the topic of sustainability and sustainable finance
• Independent, responsible and binding way of working paired with efficient work structure and organisational skills
• Quick comprehension, high level of independence and analytical understanding with an eye for the essentials
• Strong team spirit with robust communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in German and English
